A Welcome Message from Chief of Police Terence Reardon
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Revere Police Department web site. It is my hope that you will find this site to be a valuable resource in your search for information about the department, and that you will discover ways in which you can join in partnership with police to fight crime in the community.
The Revere Police Department is composed of approximately 105 sworn and civilian men and women who proudly serve the citizens of Revere. They work 24 hours per day to protect lives and property within a community that spans approximately 5.2 square miles and is home to approximately 50,000 people.
It is my hope that this site will inform you about Police deparment events, update you on crime trends, and get you involved and connected to our community policing activities.
Along with information about us, we have included helpful links about The City of Revere, The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, and other useful City Web Sites.
So while the site continues to be a work in progress, updated and improved weekly, we hope you make this your first stop when you need information pertaining to The Revere Police.
Terence Reardon

The Revere Police Department is currently experiencing an increase in graffiti around the city. In an effort to curb this problem, we are asking citizens to report any graffiti in their neighborhood. If you have any information on who might be responsible for these crimes, please contact the Revere Police Dept at 781-284-1212, or email here

Chief Terence Reardon is reminding all residents to lock their vehicles when exiting. There has been a rash of thefts involving GPS and other electronic devices (such as satelite radios).
The Chief states this seems to be a crime of opportunity, when a person walks by a vehicle with an electronic cradle on the windshield and an unlocked door.
It only takes a matter of seconds, so even if you are only running into a store for a minute, take that device with you, don't leave it in plain view or in the glove compartment. It may save you hundreds of dollars!

I would also like to thank the officer that helped me in front of Stop and Shop the other day when I locked my keys in the car. He was very nice.
I would like to thank the Police Department for the great job they did during my Fathers Funeral Procession on Friday 2/15/08. They did a great job. The few times I have needed the Police they have always been there to help. Were would we be without them?
Kudos to the Revere Police Department for honoring and remembering the life of Sgt. Papsadora. Choosing to include this announcement on the front page of your website demonstrates courage and professionalism. I commend you for taking that step and helping to break the silence about this type of cop killer. My condolences to the department and his family during this difficult time. You will walk a double road of grief--sorrow in missing him and sorrow that knowing he was in pain and you could not fix it.
I agree Joe. The vast majority of us support the police, and the others are the people who post the nonsense on the other sites. Lets make this the police support message board! Anybody have a good RPD story?
